Liberty Natural Gas: A fast, efficient project with cost benefits

More than fifteen miles off the Jersey shore, a proven technology (submerged delivery system) will receive natural gas and transmit it through a sub-sea pipeline to connections at Linden, NJ.

How our project worksOur technology uses a submerged turret buoy connection, which resides under 80 feet or more of water when not in use. Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) will be delivered by double-hulled LNG carriers and converted onboard to natural gas with no impact on the ocean.

Liberty Natural Gas will have no port structure to obstruct the horizon or interfere with marine life. No storage facility is required, since the gas is converted on the ship in a closed-loop system and delivered onshore to existing storage and energy production facilities.

Through the existing pipelines at the Linden Area Interconnections, the Liberty Natural Gas System can begin serving up to 2.4 billion cubic feet a day to major markets by late 2013. That’s enough to heat about 11 million homes per day.
